Our VISA Debit card allows you access in the places that our rediCARD cannot go--online, over the phone and overseas. However, you can also use it in the same places where you use your rediCARD for your everyday transactions, such as stores, petrol stations and ATMs.

VISA Debit is linked to your transaction account, so it's your money--all the benefits of VISA without the charges of using a credit card. When purchasing in person, VISA Debit cardholders have the option of signing the receipt or entering a PIN.

When using the VISA Debit for an EFTPOS transaction, we encourage you to press the "credit" button, which will allow you to sign or enter your PIN number, and all transactions using the "credit" button are FREE. Please note: use of the "cr" button for Visa Debit is at the discretion of the merchant.

Verified by Visa

Verified by VISA  (VbV) is an online service designed to make Internet transactions safer at participating merchants through the authentication of the cardholder’s identity at the time of purchase.  All existing and new VISA cards are automatically registered for this FREE service.

Each time you make an online purchase with a participating merchant, the Verified by VISA program assesses the risk level of the transaction. During some of your online transactions, you may be asked to confirm either your date of birth or member number—so we can be sure the card isn’t being used without your permission.

To see if Verified by VISA is available at a merchant, look for the symbol. This will ensure that the merchant values your business and your security. Throughout the world a growing number of merchants, currently more than 200,000 are offering Verified by VISA.

How to Apply

If you are an existing member, you will need to complete our VISA Debit Application form and either fax, mail or return the form to our branch. For new members, we will require three months recent transaction history from your previous financial institution.

To report the loss, theft or unauthorised use of your VISA Debit card please call:
