How To Become A MemberThe membership process is simple and straightforward. It should only take a few minutes to complete our forms and purchase your shares ($10.00 for adults or $2.00 for children under 18 years of age). To become a member, you will need to apply at our main branch at 288 Summer Street, Orange. To save you time, the Membership Application form can be downloaded and documents brought with you when you apply: Provide Proof of IdentityThe law requires us to verify your identity when you open an account or when you become a signatory to an account. You can prove your identity by providing original or certified copies of acceptable documents listed under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth). Under the basic procedure to identify an individual this may require you to simply provide a passport or driver's licence that contains your photograph. For a full list of the acceptable documents, you can request a copy of the information sheet What Information We Need From You. The law does not allow you to open an account using a false name. However, if you are commonly known by more than one name you can open an account in any one of those names, but you must give us all the other names that you use. The same rules apply to becoming a signatory to an existing account. If you change your name, for example, upon marriage, you will need to give us a Change of Name statement.
