Lewis Von Stieglitz

Chief Executive Officer

With a career spanning over 30 years in banking, Lewis has held a range of senior positions including General Manager at Commonwealth Bank, Head of Banking Products at TIO in Darwin NT and most recently Chief Executive Officer of Warwick Credit Union. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Master of Business Administration, exemplifying his commitment to continuous growth. Lewis is driven by a deep-rooted commitment to the advancement of regional and remote Australia. With his guidance Orange Credit Union charts a course towards a prosperous future, united by expertise and a shared dedication to community well-being. 

 

 

Anish Patel

Head of Finance

Anish’s extensive financial journey spans 30 years across various sectors and continents, landing him at Orange Credit Union as the Head of Finance in 2022. His wealth of experience includes roles within the financial services, property and government sectors in Australia, the UK, Europe and South East Asia. Armed with a robust professional background, Anish holds qualifications in accounting and finance, cementing his expertise in the field. His global perspective, combined with his proficiency in financial matters, makes Anish an invaluable asset to our team. Under his guidance, OCU navigates the complex landscape of finance with precision and insight, ensuring the financial wellbeing of our members.

 

 

Kerry Rodwell 

Head of Risk

With a career spanning over 28 years, Kerry’s dedication to the banking industry has seen her rise from operational frontline staff to her current role as Head of Risk, and holds a Bachelor of Economics. Kerry was a valued member of the Business Banking and Relationship management teams at CBA, Westpacand Rabobank, before transitioning into the compliance and governance space. Since 2022, Kerry has been an instrumental part of the OCU team. Her expertise in Governance, Compliance and Risk Management makes her a guiding force in ensuring the stability and security of our operations.

 

 

Crystal MacKay

Executive Administration Manager

Bringing her previous experience in the Real Estate and Financial Services industries, as well as being a Child Care small business owner, Crystal’s diverse background compliments her role as Executive Administration Manager. Enthralled by our ‘bank local’ ethos, Crystal thrives within our community-orientated environment. Eager to learn, she both benefits from the knowledge of her team, and continues her education through online courses. Crystal’s aspirations extend to driving positive change within OCU and nurturing connections with co-workers and key stakeholders, aiming for a lasting impact on both our operations and relationships. 

 

 

 

Michelle Johnson 

Governance & Compliance Manager

Progressing through various roles within Orange Credit Union since 2005, Michelle has found her stride in Governance & Compliance, embodying the values and standards that are integral to our institution. Michelle started her journey with OCU in the Customer Contact Centre team, then to Reception/Sales & Service, Executive Assistant and now Governance & Compliance Manager, demonstrating her diverse range of skills. She holds a Cert IV in Financial Services, underscoring her commitment to excellence in her field. What makes Orange Credit Union particularly special to Michelle is the culture, sense of belonging and warmth of a customer-owned bank. 

 

 

Phillip Chant 

Lending Manager

As the OCU Lending Manager, what truly distinguishes Phil is his practical approach to lending – an amalgamation of industry knowledge and deep understanding of member needs. With over 40 years working across the finance and banking sector, Phil’s journey speaks volumes about his expertise. He has held senior manager positions at St George Bank, Commonwealth Bank, AMP Bank and Bank of Queensland. Phil’s focus on credit policy writing, APRA and ASIC compliance and operational excellence, including the automation of the home loan process, showcases his commitment to enhancing efficiency and member experience. 

 

 

Tayla Harvey

Marketing & Product Specialist 

With an unwavering focus on providing a seamless customer experience across digital and traditional communication channels, Tayla amplifies OCUs presence in the market in her role as Marketing & Product Specialist. Tayla’s creative prowess, coupled with her marketing acumen, shapes our brand narrative and ensures that our members enjoy exceptional products and services that stand out in today’s dynamic landscape. With a solid foundation in event management spanning 6 years, her transition to marketing was a natural progression. Tayla holds a Diploma of Event Management, Cert IV in Web Design and Cert IV in Leadership & Management, displaying her commitment to continuous growth.
