As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global health issue continues to evolve, Orange Credit Union wishes to share with you our on-going efforts to manage these events and mitigate potential impacts to our operations.  

We are taking sensible precautions, including enforcing quarantine periods as appropriate and setting out guidelines for increased hygiene.

In addition,we have:

  • Coordinated management teams to activate response strategies based on business needs
  • Reviewed, and in some cases, activated portions of our pandemic plans as well as relevant business continuity plans
  • Activated or maintaining readiness to activate a broad range of recovery strategies as circumstances dictate, including:
  • Remote teleworking
  • Social distancing and self-quarantine guidelines
  • Continual staff communication and awareness
  • Ensured communication with relevant third-party suppliers
  • Encourage / introduce members to online banking channels 

Branch Visits

In addition, we would ask that you only visit our branch if your visit is essential. We have set up recommended Social Distancing indicators in our branch for queuing and appreciate your assistance with this process. 

Banking from a distance

We understand that not all Members may wish to visit a branch in today’s environment. As such, Orange Credit Union provides a number of convenient options to manage everyday banking without the need to visit our branch. These include:

  • Online banking including our Mobile App which allows you to make payments by BPay, send and receive money instantly using Osko and PayID, change your PIN, report your card as lost or stolen as well as a range of other options;

  • Local Call Centre, and

  • Three digital wallet options which allow you to contactless pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay.

Government Guarantee - Financial Claims Scheme

The Australian Government has guaranteed deposits up to $250,000 in Authorised Deposit-taking Institutions (ADIs). Orange Credit Union is an Authorised Deposit-taking Institution (ADI) same as the big banks and other credit unions. 

This means that your money is guaranteed if anything happens to Orange Credit Union. More information about Government Guarantee.
