If you have a mobile phone or email address, Orange Credit Union has a convenient way for you to keep track of your finances while you’re on the move.

SMS Banking allows you to receive information about your account through SMS (Short Messsage Service) on your mobile phone.

How to register for SMS Banking

Internet banking members can register for SMS banking and Alerts through Internet banking. Over the counter registrations can be done for non-Internet banking members by completing the ‘Application for Account Access Products’ and then mail, fax or drop the form into our office.

What to do next

Once registered for SMS Banking, you can also make a request for balance, year-to-date interest, or transactional information to be sent to your mobile phone anytime, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Once you have sent your request to SMS Banking, it will be processed by the system immediately and a response sent to you within a matter of seconds.

To make a request you will need to enter the exact message as it appears below for the account information you require. Then simply send the message to SMS Banking on 0409 659 765. Within a few moments, you will receive a message with your requested information.

Things you need to know

A member can have more than one mobile number registered, but two memberships can not have the same mobile number registered. (e.g. your single and joint memberships). When you activate SMS banking, you are authorising us to send your account information by SMS to the mobile phone number you nominate.
