Launched in time for the Christmas and summer holiday shopping season, customers will automatically see their new Visa debit cards in their digital wallet from this week and physical cards will shortly be available with every new membership and with card renewals.

Orange Credit Union, Marketing and Communications Manager, Mel Monico said customers will be delighted with the fresh new look featuring the local landscape colours of our brand.

“Every time our members and customers open their wallets or digital wallets to make a purchase, tapping their new Orange Credit Union Visa card at the point of sale, they will feel special and loved, backed by locals who back locals. It’s a great symbol of banking with a local who cares about them and their money goals,” Ms Monico said.

“Remaining true to the founding mission of ‘helping people help themselves and each other’, Orange Credit Union appeals to all generations whatever their life stage. As we move closer to our 60 year milestone, it was important to capture the essence of our new branding in a bold, fresh and fun every day transaction Visa Debit card for our members and customers.

“What makes the new design so special is that we have worked with a talented, emerging local artist, Yani Lenehan who has brought our new brand colours representing the landscape of the Central West to life, through a bold, fresh design that will resonate with all ages. “Our team fell in love with Yani’s use of vibrant colour and the synergy of her work with the segments representing our brand. Team Orange Credit Union are locals who live, work and have their homes in the region so it was important for us to work with a local artist who shares the same love of the region and calls the Central West home,” Ms Monico said.

Yani Lenehan is an artist living in Bathurst with her husband and three sons. Her oil paintings have been exhibited throughout the Central West, including The Corner Store Gallery, Jumbled, Portland Art Show, The Grove Portland, Galvanised at Millthorpe, and Blayney Textures of One Exhibition, where she is becoming an emerging art presence. Her vibrant, stylised and fresh still life paintings are recognised as her signature style.

Yani said the inspiration and muses for the Orange Credit Union artwork are her own orange and lime trees, adding a real sense of connection with the region. She wanted this artwork to convey the values of Orange Credit Union and its community.

“This artwork represents the strong relationship of Orange Credit Union as a local business who has a proud history of backing locals, standing proud within our region and has a true connection with the social, cultural and community sectors around Orange and the Central West,” Mrs Lenehan said.

Orange Credit Union is thrilled to work in collaboration with Yani and showcase emerging talent within the region.

The new design will be revealed in our Summer Street branch from this week. New customers can get their hands on a piece of art for their digital wallets when they join as a member of Orange Credit Union and opt-in for a Visa Debit card with their everyday day savings account.
