First OCU Virtual AGM delivers strong performance

Leading local customer-owned bank, Orange Credit Union today announced the very first virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held Thursday 25 Nov in Orange, highlighting its continued success despite the challenges presented by COVID-19.

Chair, Amanda Mooney and Chief Executive Officer, Andrew de Graaff hosted the AGM with Directors present while registered members had the opportunity to vote, ask questions and participated online via Zoom.

Ms Mooney delivered her AGM report acknowledging the capability of the team to deliver solutions and remain agile when presented with the challenges throughout 2021.

“We have had to deal with situations we have never faced before. Your Board of Directors wish to thank all members for your support over this year. The Board of Directors also wish to thank our amazing team of staff who have risen to levels they never knew existed. Our team led by our CEO, Andrew de Graaff have been agile and adapted when required to the constantly changing conditions that 2021 has given us. During all of this, we have seen growth in new loans and growth in deposits. Please know that your Board of Directors is very dedicated to the long-term success of Orange Credit Union and we look forward to 2022 with a positive outlook. Thank you again to our members and amazing team of staff.”

 

Key performance highlights presented included:

Mr de Graaff said: “Orange Credit Union continued to deliver the best possible banking, lending and financial services help for our members and customers.”

He congratulated Team Orange Credit Union acknowledging the efforts of staff, suppliers, members and community working collaboratively to drive the strong performance. Mr de Graaff highlighted key strategic focus areas of Growth, Transformation and People as the key business initiatives for the business now and in the future.

Overall, the event was a success thanks to the support of Team Orange Credit Union and local IT services group, Coltons Computer Technologies who facilitated the event.
