Orange Credit Union is completely different and better than a bank. They are like a little family and really look after you. It gave me the confidence to manage my money. There were no problems and my personal lender helped me understand what was required and the home loan process. It was all broken down and if I wanted anything clarified, it was easily explained another way which made sense to me. They are lovely, open people, so helpful and professional. The local team helped me make online transfers so I feel very safe, secure and I know they are here for me. They take extra care and live by what they say. If they say they will get back to you, they always do. It has been an amazing experience and it is comforting to know they are just here. I have since opened a bank account and make online transactions and it is so easy. I hardly need to go into the branch but when I do, they remember me. Saved from scammers

I can’t thank the amazing team at Orange Credit Union enough. They are just wonderful, supportive and are very proactive in increasing awareness of how to prevent fraud and scams by educating the community. While I am very wary of who I am dealing with now with online purchases, I understand the value individuals can play in protecting themselves by not giving out personal details or bank account details. I was trying to organise a return flight from Darwin to Sydney and clicked on a link that I thought was QANTAS. When I called the number, I was confronted by a foreign voice advising the ticket was only $128. Alarm bells started to ring as I didn’t think this was right. When I provided my credit card details and was asked to hold the line, this just didn’t feel right. When they returned from hold, I was advised that Orange Credit Union had blocked the transaction. I proceeded to call Orange Credit Union to advise of this suspicious activity and thankfully the team advised that their system had immediately blocked two $500 transactions that were trying to be processed to an account overseas. It was the security systems at the credit union who helped save me from being out of pocket. The team acted immediately and have been trained really well. They are only too happy to help. Unfortunately, not everyone is as fortunate as me and many people lose money through financial crime. Please be careful. I want to tell my story to help others.

I joined Orange Credit Union in the early 70s, when it was a little office at the side of the Royal Hotel, with Manager, Phil Nokes and a small team of two or three employees. It was a great decision. Wonderful support, friendly service, good advice always forthcoming. 

I moved to live in the Philippines over 16 years ago, and still have my banking with Orange Credit Union. Over the years, the faces may have changed, but the service has not.

Amazing that I can transfer my income, arrange personal financing and all services from 8000 kilometres away!

Just miss the smiling, friendly faces of the Orange Credit Union team. I thank you all for the wonderful work you do. Anna and I live in the Philippines in a beautiful home on 1500sq/ m, surrounded by tropical fruit trees and beautiful gardens. OCU helped us achieve this.
